David Hill CMIIA
Founder of HillAudit Training Ltd
David is an accomplished risk and audit professional with comprehensive experience in driving organisational vision, values, and strategic direction. As a former CEO, he has proven success in maintaining accountability, advancing service delivery, and optimising audit processes with data analytics. Adept at fostering culture of diversity, enhancing communication, and reporting efficiency. Expert at turning around underperforming teams, managing robust risk frameworks, evaluating strategic risks, and embedding a positive risk culture.
In 2022 he was a Global Beacon Award Winner (one of only 12) and in 2023 and 2024 voted one of the top 25 Global Influencers within his profession.
Liz Sandwith FCIIA
The Oracle of Internal Audit
Liz’s background is in governance, internal audit, and risk, applying a commercial perspective to all three elements. Liz has developed a substantial risk and internal audit reputation providing a comprehensive risk, governance, and internal audit service to a wide group of clients including financial services organisations, healthcare providers, Local Authority’s, the Electoral Commission, the Information Commissions Office, a Leisure Industry service provider, as well as a large media organisation (Channel 5 Broadcasting) and a large multi-site healthcare provider (Bupa).
Liz provides training on the Chartered IIA Certificate of Internal Audit and Business Risk, covering the Effective Delivery of Audit and Assurance, Internal Audit Planning and Assurance and a one-day Corporate Governance and Risk Management workshop. Liz delivered a series of webinars on behalf of Wolters Kluwer regarding the new Global Internal Audit Standards. She provides training on GDPR / Data Protection and Security she has provided training globally for a commercial training provider (Enterprise-wide Risk Management, Risk Based Internal Auditing, Assurance Mapping, Corporate Governance, Auditing Human Resources and Risk Management).
Mark Williams
Ways of Working Consultant & Trainer
Mark helps build high-performing Internal Audit and Compliance departments and specialises in helping to create high-performing audit delivery teams. In fact, after seven years’ experience helping auditors and audit leaders embrace new ways of working, he is widely regarded as the industry-leading expert on agility in Internal Audit and Compliance.
Mark has led and supported IA functions to adopt new ways of working for an impressive number of organisations around the world. In the UK he has worked with the IA department of Nationwide Building Society, NatWest Bank Group, Barclays Bank, HMRC, London Stock Exchange, SWAP, Kent County Council, and Northern Ireland Water. Mark also partners with Wolters Kluwer TeamMate+ to provide popular webinars and conference talks on internal auditing with agility. His background is in IT software development where he became an expert in agile and lean delivery.
